John Steers Elon

John Steers attends Elon University in North Carolina. He is in his sophomore year and is aiming toward a bachelor of arts with a major in strategic communications and a minor in sport and event management. Before he enrolled at Elon, John Steers earned his high school diploma at Canterbury School in New Milford, Connecticut.

During his high school years, Steers was active academically and athletically. He made the honor roll, he was named to the headmaster’s list in 2011, and he played varsity squash. An advocate for helping youth within his community, he was involved in the Big Brother program and the San Miguel Academy summer program. From 2009 to 2011, he worked during the summers as a counselor and sailing instructor at Camp Agawam and Manursing Island Club, and he most recently gained experience as a caddie at Apawamis Golf Club. In the future, he hopes to enter the music and event management industries.
