John Stephens

Prior to becoming Trends Editor at The Huffington Post, John Stephens served as the Local Editor of Sierra Madre Patch in Sierra Madre, CA.

Before that, he was the Managing Editor of a chain of weekly newspapers including Pasadena Independent, Arcadia Weekly, Monrovia Weekly and Sierra Madre Weekly.

Prior to working at the papers, John wore a variety of editorial hats at Pasadena-based independent book publisher Prospect Park Books.

John also has experience in web design, having built and/or improved and maintained multimedia presences for multiple print and online publishers.

A graduate of the University of Georgia's English Department and a native southerner, John is consistently unable to explain why he doesn't have a southern accent.
