I’m John Agustin Vera, a certified AWS Cloud Engineer and Linux/Unix systems enthusiast who treats servers like pets—because if you ignore them, they WILL bite you.
By day, I architect secure, scalable cloud solutions on AWS (yes, I speak fluent EC2, S3, and Lambda), automate everything that moves (and some things that don’t) with tools like Terraform and Ansible (tha's not real), and guard IAM roles like they’re the One Ring. My SSH keys? More closely held than a dragon’s treasure.
When I’m not wrestling YAML files into submission or explaining to non-tech friends that “the cloud” isn’t just “someone else’s computer” (though, technically…), I’m baking DevSecOps practices into pipelines like a paranoid pastry chef. Trust no one, encrypt everything, and always test backups—preferably before the CEO’s cat walks on the keyboard.
Why do I love this work?
I’ve mastered the art of uptime—both for systems and my caffeine addiction.
Debugging a kernel panic at 2 AM is my version of a horror movie marathon. (Spoiler: I always win.)
I once automated a coworker’s morning coffee order. Cost savings: $5/day. Chaos potential: Priceless.
My philosophy: “If it’s not secure, scalable, or sarcasm-resistant, it’s not production-ready.”
Fun fact: I’ve never met a terminal I couldn’t exit. (Vim users, you’re safe… for now.)
Oh Mamma mia!! ho detto vim, era vi invece! eh si ho scrito in italiano allora fatti i c*zz! tuoi.
Let’s connect if you want to geek out over Kubernetes (Das ist Scheiße), argue about tabs vs. spaces, or just share memes about sudo rm -rf /* regrets.
Final thought: The cloud might be someone else’s computer, but I’m the one who makes sure it doesn’t catch fire. 🔥
How to reach me?
Better Call Saul!
P.S. My availability is chmod 755—approachable, but don’t expect root access on the first call.
