John Voelz Physical
A member of the American Physical Therapy Association, John Voelz studied Physical Therapy at Creighton University in Omaha, Nebraska, earning his clinical doctorate of physical therapy in 2000. John Voelz holds additional degrees in Business Administration and Exercise Science from the University of Northern Iowa. Currently based in Huntley, Illinois, and a member of the local Chamber of Commerce, John Voelz both owns and operates NorthWest Senior Wellness. Recently opening the center, John Voelz focuses the allied healthcare business on balance/mobility services, wellness, and preventative healthcare. Catering entirely to individuals with type 2 diabetes and seniors over 55, the centers unique attributes make it an ideal fit for those looking to ensure their fitness program addresses their health concerns and age-related needs. Activities include the use of hydraulic resistance weights and equipment as opposed to standard weights, thereby resulting in little or no muscle soreness. Belying his commitment to individual attention and assisting members in adhering to their targeted programs, John Voelz operates the center on an appointment-only basis. Wishing to expand the facilitys preventative health focus to a community health level, John Voelz will soon offer physical therapy, presentations and speaking engagements. Currently, NorthWest Senior Wellness offers preventative healthcare services, such as body fat analysis, blood pressure monitoring, and blood sugar screening, on a membership basis. As would be expected of a physical exercise specialist, John Voelz enjoys sports and exercise in his spare time. His favorite books include The Da Vinci Code and The Seat of the Soul.
