John Waitkunas
VP Project Executive in Duxbury, Massachusetts
A construction management graduate of the Wentworth Institute of Technology, John Waitkunas has spent more than three decades in the construction management and project management industries. Over the years, he has shepherded more than $800 million worth of projects to completion while garnering expertise in facilities management, interior renovation, and other aspects of the field. John Waitkunas has also received advanced training as a project manager and is a LEED-certified professional.
John Waitkunas draws on this background in his current role as vice president and project executive for Diversified Project Management (STV|DPM) in Newton, Massachusetts. Leading the company’s health care, biotech, industrial, and corporate businesses, he manages all aspects of client projects, including initial analysis, proposal reviews, and staff supervision. He also negotiates contracts, coordinates lease agreements, and manages budgetary guidelines.
Active in the larger field, John Waitkunas holds membership in professional organizations such as NAIOP, the International Facility Management Association (IFMA), and CoreNet. He also stays current with best practices in the industry by attending professional events such as the annual conference of the New England Healthcare Engineers’ Society (NEHES). Outside of his professional life, he pursues a diverse range of hobbies that includes cooking, fishing, and carpentry.
