Sports Reporter in Lancaster, Pennsylvania

Read my articles

I joined the sports department of my hometown paper in Lancaster, Pa., on Feb. 23, 2015, where I have since served as a multimedia reporter focusing on high school boys soccer, boys basketball and boys/girls lacrosse, in addition to assisting on high school football and Penn State football coverage. Blessed to be the messenger of incredible stories, I was selected to first place in back-to-back years in Features Beat Reporting for the 2016 and 2017 Keystone Press Awards(circulation 40,000-74,999)

Prior to Lancaster, I was a full-time sports reporter for The York (Pa.) Dispatch newspaper from February 2011 through Feb. 21, 2015. In York, I covered just about every sport imaginable, with a focus on high school football, boys basketball, wrestling, NCAA D-III York College men's and women's basketball and served as the beat reporter of the York Revolution, a pro baseball team part of the independent Atlantic League. During my time in York, I earned Second Place in Sports Feature Reporting (circulation 15,000-30,000) in the 2015 Pennsylvania Associated Press Managing Editors competition.

Also previously worked as the City Hall reporter for The York (Pa) Dispatch from May 2010 to Feb. 2011.

I interned for Lancaster (Pa) Newspapers and WGAL TV (Lancaster, Pa.) in previous summers. The latter led to working as a freelance camera man for a season on WGAL's Football Friday show.
