John Warf
Network Engineer and Consultant in Pittsboro, North Carolina
Greetings, I'm John Warf....
I've worked in and around educational technology for the past 18 years where I have developed a unique perspective through my time working at Chatham County Schools, the North Carolina Department of Public Instruction, and currently MCNC, a private non-profit focused on providing broadband networking to educational institutions across the state. This experience has afforded me the ability to really see through another person's eyes, whether it be the teacher in the classroom or the school’s technology administrator. This experience is evident in my exemplary customer focus and breadth of technology skills.
While working for the Chatham County Schools technology department for 10 years, I worked directly with teachers to help ensure they had all the essential technological tools for the classroom. In addition, I've worked on many statewide technology programs, including the School Connectivity Initiative, which has been recognized nationally as a model for improving the availability of broadband services to school districts and charter schools. Passionate to see students succeed and for school districts and charter schools to realize the operational efficiencies available through the proper application of technology, I have been instrumental in assisting numerous schools with their charge to use cloud-based resources such as Google Docs and Chromebooks.
