In August of 2008, after an extensive and successful career with Morgan Stanley, John Westerfield retired to pursue his own interest in the private management of investments in real estate securities and properties. Previously, John Westerfield spent over two decades in commercial real estate investment and finance and executive-level management.

At Morgan Stanley, where he served in numerous capacities from 1985 to 2008, John Westerfield worked in the fixed income and investment banking areas of the firm. As Managing Director and Global Head of the Commercial Mortgage Backed Securities (CMBS) Group, John Westerfield supervised an international team of highly trained individuals. In this capacity, John Westerfield successfully managed Morgan Stanley's market leading CMBS operation.

John Westerfield
has also served as the Assistant Treasurer of the National Banking Division of Morgan Guaranty Trust Company of New York. John Westerfield graduated cum laude from Dartmouth College in 1981 with a Bachelor of Arts in Government. Subsequently, John Westerfield attended Harvard Business School, where he earned a Master of Business Administration in General Management in 1985. John Westerfield supports charities such as the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, Doctors Without Borders, The Foundation for Educational Education, Edchoice.org and numerous other charitable organizations with a strong focus on education and healthcare.
