Hey, I’m John. I’m a startup guy turned climate investor who still has the startup bug. I love hard, meaningful problems and the challenge of taking something small and helping it grow.

I started my career at an early-stage startup, working across product, operations, growth, and whatever else needed doing. Since then, I’ve spent eight years investing in climate and energy businesses across sub-Saharan Africa, Southeast Asia, Latin America, and the US.

I do my best work – and have the most fun – with the messy parts of company-building: figuring out what matters, bringing structure to ambiguity, and working across strategy, operations, finance, and partnerships. Now I want to bring my experience to Rhode Island’s blue economy.

Outside of work, you’ll find me at the beach or gardening with my wife and two young daughters, fixing something in our old house, or looking for more ways to spend time on sailboats.
