John Wilkes

Being sharp, straight forward and honest are just a few characteristics of who I am. For those who know me know that my speech impediment is no set back for the kind of person I am and the quality of work that I do. I was born in Baltimore City, Maryland and was raised in Charles Town, West Virginia. At the age of 9, my family moved to North Carolina because my grandmother was elderly and figured it would be best if we lived with her. I really didn’t get in to broadcasting until I was in High School. I had one broadcasting class, and before I knew it, I found out what I wanted to do. I went for a degree in Broadcasting for TV and Radio at Cleveland Community College and did very well. I went on to the Art Institute of Atlanta where I got a Associates degree in Video Production.
