Joie de Vivre
I'm a relatively young (international) legal professional who loves to live life to the fullest, primarily through sharing joy with people from all walks of life. I thrive in international environments. I'm a lover of life, people, animals and good wine; but mostly, I'm really a cultural mutt. My sense of self is tied to a lot of places: my birthland (Kenya), where I spent my formative years; the city of Cape Town (South Africa), where I grew up and undertook my undergraduate studies; my favourite tapas bar in Almeria, Spain. There's also a G8 city or two (or three) that I know like the back of my hand (London, Paris) after having lived there for extended periods of time, I've also had the priviledge to live and work in the USA and Finland. I also get a rush from the "smell" of international airports and my siblings have called me "geek", "hilarious", "weirdo" and "batsh*t crazy". I usually laugh it off because I identify with all the descriptions.
When I was in primary school, back when child abuse was still allowed in school, my 2nd grade teacher put sellotape (sticky tape) on my mouth because I just never knew when to shut up. Now that I'm grown, I've found a suitable forum to air all my...issues/opinions and perhaps even inspire people in the process. There always seems to be something interesting going on around me and I almost always have something to say about it. Feel free to follow, comment and share my insights on my blog.
