I just started this to try and work through and come to terms with my fathers recent passing. We chose to remove his ventilator April 7,2014 to end his suffering. While I know we made the right choice by my dad, I still struggle with the whole chain of events that led us to have to make such a decision. By writing about my fathers final journey from my perspective, I hope to gain insight into how he may have experienced it. Quite simply, I need to go through this so why not document it? Maybe it will help me accept everything that happened and maybe my fathers story might help someone else dealing with the life changing experience of watching someone you love live out their final moments.
