About Me

Hello! My name is Jolssen (Johl-sin), I use pronouns like He, Him/ Él, and I'm a Dominican-Sicilian scholar from North Shore Massachusetts. I'm a PhD student in the Louise McBee Institute of Higher Education at the University of Georgia and the first in my family to pursue a PhD. I'm a Doctoral Scholar Fellow and a recipient of the 2024 Louise McBee Scholar Award.

• LGBTQ+ Student Experiences in colleges and universities
• Critical Race Theory, Black Queer Feminism, and Queer Theory
