Jo-Michael Scheibe

Jo-Michael Scheibe serves as the chair of the Thornton School of Music's Department of Choral and Sacred Music at the University of Southern California. He conducts the USC Chamber Singers. Here, he teaches choral conducting, choral methods, and other necessary courses to both the graduate and undergraduate program.
In addition to his academic role, Jo-Michael Scheibe has served as the National President of the American Choral Directors' Association. He previously served as the organization's Western Division President and the National R&S Chairperson for Community Colleges.
Ensembles under Jo-Michael Scheibe's direction have performed at six National ACDA Conventions, two National Conventions of the Music Educators National Conference and various regional and state conventions under his leadership.
Jo-Michael Scheibe returned to his alma mater USC in the fall of 2008 after a fifteen year tenure as Director of Choral Studies at the University of Miami's Frost School of Music.
Currently, Jo-Michael Scheibe has publishings at four different companies: Santa Barbara Music Publishing Inc., Colla Voce Music LLC, Pavane Publishing, and Walton Music. He has over 80 publications at Santa Barbara Music Publishing, Inc and about 100 publications with Walton Music.
Jo-Michael Scheibe has had the wonderful opportunity to collaborate with artists such as Luciano Pavarotti, José Carreras, Maria Guleghina, Jennifer Hudson and many more. Jo-Michael Scheibe is frequently in demand on a national and international basis as a clinician, conductor, and adjudicator.
