Jon Archer

Hi, I'm Jon Archer, currently working in local government as a systems specialist. In my role I specialise in designing and implementing large scale projects harnessing many technology disciplines such as storage, virtualisation, Linux, Unix and Windows.
My real passion lies with the open source community and being an ambassador for the Fedora Project aim to bring the software developed in this community to the masses. Part of being involved with the community takes me to may events to promote the cause. I also run various open source and technology community events and groups.

I am also passionate about technology in education, being a STEM ambassador allows me to engage with the younger generation and pass on areas of my skillset which I feel are currently under taught in mainstream education.
