"This above all, to thine ownself be true." -Shakespeare, Hamlet Act I Scene III

I am a man of many adjectives. Eccentrically genius, exceedingly magniloquent, ineffably geeky, quite random, decidedly unusual, resoundingly unique, deeply principled, dangerously passionate, overwhelmingly compassionate, astutely observant, and unrelentingly altruistic. I'm fiercely loyal to my friends, and powerfully driven by my emotions, but I'm not wildly animalistic - my sharp mind and acidic logic affect my actions; I lead my heart, and use my mind to control it. In summary, I'm an introvert that walks with my mind, pretending to be an extrovert that runs with my heart.

I indulge in just about everything – fine literature, science fiction, stupid memes, smart philosophies – and you'll find just about everything on my iTunes library as well. A full decade of living overseas as a globe-trekking, third-culture kid will do that to you. I also have an uncanny knack for rhythm, an ear for melody and a poet's eye for metaphor; the final product being best described as waltzing along the borderlands of genius and insanity. I can't help but to notice "awesome" ends in 'me'. Therefore, to catch 'me', you gotta be fast. To find 'me', you gotta be smart. To be 'me'... you gotta be kidding. Love me or hate me, either way you're still thinking of me.

I would describe myself as an exciting person. Vibrant in the eyes, energetic in the body, and hyperactive in the mind. Despite the bottom-fudge life enjoys indulging itself within, it's the desire to better ourselves: the capacity to dream and the drive to fulfil those dreams, the ability to love and be loved- these are the things that mean the difference between "living" and merely "existing".

My name is Jon(athan) Chang.

And I choose to live.

PS: [Oh, and in case you were wondering, I'm rather brilliant. But don't tell everyone.]
