I'm deeply involved in the Internet of Things and Cloud technologies industries. Apart from running Adeptium Consulting, a technical and business consultancy, I'm the organiser of Cambridge's Amazon Web Services User Group.
If you're running a hardware or Internet of Things startup: OK, you've got a bright idea, a prototype, even a market-ready product...but do you have a business?
If you don't know realistically how much it'll cost, and how long it'll take, to get goods shipped and ready to sell; if you don't know when you'll be generating revenues, or understand where your money's coming from until you are...let's talk. I've spent a thirty year career mostly in startups and SMEs. I've run several companies, including an angel-invested consumer electronics maker, manufacturing in China. I've learnt many lessons, seen and made mistakes (don't trust anyone who hasn't), and want to help you avoid the same mistakes in your own business.
Alternatively, if you're an investor, I can look into targets for you, either from outside or working with them, to help you understand their business, and your investment. Post-investment, I can represent your interests on their Board, whilst helping them make their best possible success.
I can operate as technical consultant and/or business consultant, depending on your needs, from software/firmware/cloud development, to C-level management. I'm also open to permanent or portfolio opportunities for CTO (any size) or CEO (startup or SME).
Away from work, I'm a father, Maker, wannabe muso, sometime flyer, occasional surfer, and I blend my own teas. I'm a space geek, responsible for developing a number of subsystems in several commercial satellites. I speak some French, some Chinese, and I'm prone to writing. Mainly in English, although I'm also fluent in Gibberish.
Oh, and that strange background image? That's Hebes Chasma on Mars, imaged by ESA's Mars Express satellite. I've had NASA's Mars Reconnaissance Orbiter generate images of this region using its HiRISE camera for my own research, and I've a history of processing NASA data (for research and fun) - mostly of Mars - that started 25 years ago. Told you I'm a space geek!
