Oh, details? I'm a middle-aged grey-bearded vegetarian bi poly Yorkshireman. I read The Guardian, drive a Jaguar and shop at the Co-Op. By day I write software, and short stories by night. I like coloured glass, maps, misty weather, diversity, intimacy, moon-gates and the sound of trickling water. My favourite beer is by Black Sheep, my favourite sandwich is peanut butter & banana, and everyone knows I'm a fan of the composer Vangelis.

I've done many things, from founding a software start-up company to falling in love. I've walked on the Great Wall of China, driven over the Golden Gate Bridge with the car roof down, and swum naked in the shallow waters of Sydney's natural harbour. I've stayed in a Buddhist monastery high on Koya-San mountain and climbed the steps of Angkor Wat at dawn. But I was as happy walking my Labrador in Warwickshire as anything else.
