I am a professional freelance Translator and Conference & Business Interpreter (MA, BA, State-Certified) between English and German with eight years of academic training in Germany and the UK and more than two years of experience in both disciplines.

I launched my freelance translation and interpreting business after two successful years of working as in-house Translator in Germany and the United Kingdom. Employers included the marketing company ParkCloud Ltd., the language service provider Language Insight Ltd. and the German law firm BOEHMERT & BOEHMERT.

During this time, I was able to collect comprehensive work experience in Marketing Translation and Website Localization. In addition, over the last eight years, I acquired specialized translation degrees in Engineering and Economics and was able to develop several other specialization areas, e.g. Informatics and Technology, having founded an IT company in 2016 and being highly skilled in this field.

In regard to Interpreting, I worked as in-house Telephone Interpreter for the German Automobile Club ADAC in Barcelona, Spain and did freelance work for clients like the German Department of Education and the marketing company Contentserv. During these assignments, I worked in a variety of settings, e.g. as conference, negotiation or tour guide interpreter.

In terms of training, I acquired four academic titles in Translation and Interpreting in Germany and the United Kingdom, including the State-Certification and a B.A. degree in Munich, Germany. In addition, I acquired an M.A. degree from the University of Central Lancashire with focus on Interpreting, including weekly Mock Conferences and 18+ hours of practical one-on-one training per week. The course also covered all working fields relevant for interpreters like Politics, Engineering, Economics, Environment, Medicine, Court, Business and more.
