Jonathan Harfield is a banker with experience working for the private sector at CEO level and as a consultant for various governments. As a banker with international experience, he has an excellent track record of operating in emerging countries at CEO level. He has been a non-executive director of six banks, in roles including Chairman and Head of the Audit Committee. Jonathan Harfield has developed multilateral experience in the private sector, gaining risk management, consulting and business development skills throughout his career. He has advised governments on financial matters, thanks to his expertise in the field and also has substantial experience working in various countries including Russia, Jordan and United Kingdom.

Jonathan Harfield is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England & Wales and has obtained a Master of Philosophy degree from the University of St. Andrews in Scotland. Following his education, he started working in the finance field for Ernst & Young. He worked his way up from consultant to partner, working for institutions such as Deutsche Gulf Finance during his career. Working in different roles has allowed him to gain a wide range of skills: he has experience in growing companies’ operations, developing business strategies in different industries and advising companies and family offices on a variety of deals taking place in different sectors.

Aside from his vast experience in the private sector, Jonathan Harfield has also worked for multiple governments in different capacities. During his career, he has worked as a representative to the governments of Estonia and Latvia, consulted for the Czech and Slovak Republics and developed new business and investment portfolios for the Russian Federation Country Team. His work to assist Eastern European countries and the Former Soviet Union in their transition to market-oriented economies has allowed him to gain valuable skills such as risk management, policy research and various ambassadorial abilities. Currently, he is the Director and Deputy General Manager at Monneo (a brand name of E-Pay International LTD), a recognised and authorised payment Institution.
