Dr Jonathan Branney

I'm from Dundee but now live in sunny Bournemouth with my beautiful wife Debbie and our two fantastic children. I qualified as a nurse at the University of Glasgow and worked in critical care, accident & emergency, and then in a variety of clinical areas as a bank nurse.Deciding I wanted to be able to better help those suffering back pain I then re-trained as a chiropractor at Anglo-European College of Chiropractic (AECC). After working in private practice for a while my curiosity got the better of me; I was drawn back to Bournemouth to do a PhD researching the mechanism of spinal manipulation in patients with neck pain, at the Institute of Musculoskeletal Research & Clinical Implementation (IMRCI), based at AECC.

I'm now a lecturer at Bournemouth University on the Adult Nursing programme and I retain my interest in researching musculoskeletal pain.
