I first went to China in 1997. Most recently, I lived in Beijing from Oct 1, 2004-Oct. 1, 2012, writing for The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, Forbes, The Los Angeles Times, The Christian Science Monitor, The China Economic Quarterly, Foreign Policy, Agence France Press and The Hollywood Reporter. I am at work on a documentary film about the relationship bewteen China and Hollywood.
