Jonathan Healy

My name is Jonathan Healy, I am a sophmore at the University of Massachusetts at Amherst majoring in finance. I am a member of the Pi Kappa Alpha Fraternity also a member of the Finance Society here on campus. Perhaps my biggest passion in life is sports and more specifically football.

I played football for eleven years and have been an avid fan for my whole life. My favorite team is of course the New England Patriots. The Patriots are a great team and have been the best team over the past decade or so. Every July I attend training camp which is held next to their stadium in Foxboro, MA. This event kicks off the best part of the year for me. From July to January, or hopefully later, is Patriots season for me. Officially though the Patriots play sixteen games from September to the end of December or end of January.

The end of the season for the Patriots can bring on of two emotions, heartbreak or jubilation. Three times in my lifetime the Patriots season has ended with this feeling of jubilation. These seasons ended with Super Bowl Championships. The other seasons in my lifetime have ended with despair, sadness, and heartbreak. This heartbreak is only temporary though, as each July there is a new start. I can't wait for this year's new start.
