I am a professor of genetics at the Université Paris Diderot, Paris, France. I also direct the Magistère de Génétique, an International Masters program training students from across the world in genetics and biology.
I am the founding director of the Centre for Epigenetics and Cell Fate, a new research centre in the heart of Paris focused on investigating the role of epigenetic events in cellular differentation programs. My research team works on the contribution of epigenetic mechanisms to cancer phenotypes and tumor progression.
We created the Who Am I? Labex, a cooperative and multi-disciplinary research project focusing on the fundamental question of the basis of identity. It brings together scientists from different disciplines to explore the determinants of identity at various levels (chemical, molecular, cellular and social) and assess how they define what we are and who we become.
