My passion is simple: work in the world of sports. Many other people have a similar idea in mind for their future but that will not stop me. It will fuel me to try harder. It will keep me motivated in ways that only I can truly understand. Ever since I was a little child watching basketball and constantly playing with my Dad, I have always been fascinated with the world of sports. The unpredictability and the element of suprise is what amazes me, and will continue to amaze me for years to come. The idea that I can learn about the sports industry at the top sport management program in the entire world puts me in a position to succeed. With all the alumni connections, people I will meet here, and outside of the University, I believe I can get my foot in the door. I already have set myself up by working for UMass Athletics in their ticket office. Many entry-level positions in sports are in sales. I feel there is no better way to prepare myself for this than by getting hands-on experience using the same software that all 30 NBA teams currently use on a weekly basis for the semester. My ultimate goal is to end up working for a professional basketball team and there is no question in my mind that I can achieve this goal. I will continue to stay inspired by my family, my friends, and the support system I have created here at UMass to move further towards my passion.
