Jonathan Gunson
Hello. I'm Jonathan. I am currently undertaking a PhD Studentship at Coventry University in the Centre for Business in Society looking at the Creative and Cultural Industries, the Creative Economy, Cultural Policy, Arts Funding, and Arts Philanthropy. I work principally in areas surrounding the Arts, and politics. I have recently completed a traineeship at the European Parliament in the Directorate-General for Parliamentary Research Services. Last Summer I worked as Press and Publicity Manager for Gryphon Venues at the Edinburgh Fringe, with my experience in the Arts largely being in the Performing Arts and Festivals, but I have also been involved in Arts and Events in a wider area, and am particularly interested in areas surrounding Cultural Policy, the Creative and cultural industries, the Creative Economy, Arts Funding and Arts Philanthropy, and cultural heritage, as well as politics and world affairs. I have worked in a variety of Arts and Events, with my particular interest being in theatre, and have worked at events including the Edinburgh Festival Fringe, the Cheltenham Festivals, the Prague Fringe Festival, and the European Youth Event. I completed a Master of Arts in "Arts and Heritage: Policy, Management and Education" from Maastricht University in which I looked at courses including in areas surrounding Cultural Policy, Arts Management, Arts Marketing, and current issues and debates in the Arts and Culture, and particularly focused on Cultural Policy and the Creative Industries. I completed my undergraduate degree at the University of Edinburgh, and am originally from Lancashire
