Jonathan Medved is a serial entrepreneur and venture capitalist. Medved is the founder and CEO of OurCrowd, a new crowdfunding organization for accredited investors and angels focused on investing in Israeli startups. According to Forbes (Aug. 13, 2013), OurCrowd is “one of the largest crowdfunding organizations on the planet” having raised over $26M for 30 portfolio companies since its launch in Feb. 2013.

Medved was the co-founder and CEO of Vringo (Nasdaq:VRNG) between 2006-12, a leader in the mobile social & video apps area. Prior to Vringo, Medved founded Israel Seed Partners in 1995 in his garage and co-managed the fund until Jan. 2006. Israel Seed had $262M under management in four funds and has been an investor in 60 leading Israeli companies. Prior to Israel Seed, Medved was part of the founding teams and served as Executive VP of Marketing & Sales at MERET Optical Communications, Inc. between 1982-91, which was acquired by Amoco Corporation (NYSE:BP) in 1990, and Accent Software (Nasdaq:ACNTF) between 1992-94.

Jon lives in Jerusalem with his wife Jane and his four children and three grandchildren, where he collects rare single malts and loud Hawaiian shirts.
