I do Athletics, I watch Athletics, I read about Athletics, I write about Athletics, I talk about Athletics and low and behold I want to go a step further and get a job in Athletics.
I have love for other sports but Athletics is my passion. It even warrants a capital letter when I write it. Right now I'm studying away in University College Dublin and relating every bit of course work to Athletics, as that's how I make it interesting for myself.
You might think that I sound a bit one sided and that could be a fair assumption. But hold up for a second. Running Marathons on the skyscraper lined pavements of New York, to high jumps meets in small towns in the Czech Republic to Athletics tracks constructed in the streets of London; Athletics is the least one sided sport you can get.
My interests lie mainly in the development of young talent and my current knowledge stands greatest in the middle and long distance fields. But I am open to enter into a variety of different areas.
What exactly I want to work as; I'm not sure. But that's because I don't want to limit myself to one field or one profession. I love coaching and I love helping, and then watching, Athletes develop in many different kinds of ways. But then I'd also love to commentate and to write and report about Athletics.
I'm looking for a job that I will enjoy and one where I feel that I can help the sport of Athletics improve and grow.
