Jonathan Cherins
Maplewood, New Jersey, United States
Jonathan Cherins is currently EVP, Americas at TravelClick, heading the company's global sales and distribution efforts in North & South America. Prior to this role, he was EVP, Reservation Solutions in 2012 and he joined the company in 2010 as Chief Marketing Officer. TravelClick provides cloud-based, innovative hospitality and management solutions for 30,000+ hotels around the world.
Cherins's professional career began at Miller Freeman, Inc. as a sales executive. During this time, he honed his skills in communication and customer service. His natural propensity for corporate strategy and marketing led him to leave Miller and join Juno Online Services, where he ultimately became SVP of marketing and business development. Following his tenure there, Cherins, in 2002, joined the well-known, Fortune 1000 company, Dun & Bradstreet.
Cherins spent eight years at Dun & Bradstreet, holding several senior management positions, revitalizing lower performing sectors and transforming them into money makers. In 2009, he became SVP RMS, directing the D&B's $800M risk management portfolio and launching its flagship product—DNBi.
Jonathan Cherins received his BA in English from the University of Michigan in 1993 and his MBA from Columbia School of Business in 2002.
Cherins was born in Brooklyn, NY and raised in Livingston, NJ. He continues to make his home in New Jersey, where he lives with his wife and three children. When not busy in the corporate world, you can find Jonathan Cherins on the golf course or running. Last year, he ran for the first time in the Long Beach Island 18-Mile Run, a race that commemorates the 11 Israeli athletes murdered by terrorists in the Munich Olympics. This was the first time Cherins had run such a long race, and he said it required extra training and mental preparation. He finished the race in 2 hrs-32 minutes, but more than this, it was a privilege for him to support the community and to be a part of this memorial to the 1972 Olympics.
