Jonathan Chestang

Jonathan Francisco Chestang is an Educator, Teacher-Leader, Parent Specialist, Writer, and Public Speaker. Raised on the South Side of Chicago, Jonathan was reared by two Chicago Public School teachers Margaret Vargas-Chestang and Earnest Chestang

Jonathan is well versed in his career experience, holding a Bachelors in Radiation Therapy Technology, Type 03 Teaching Certificate, and Masters in Education Administration (Type 75). Jonathan is also an expereinced ASP.Net web developer and programmer, and is currently working with Android applications.

Jonathan also leads the professional learning community at his school, with a focus on improving the instructional strategies and behavior management strategies of teachers.

Jonathan conducts parent workshops for various organizations, with a passion for reviving the lost art of parenting. Jonathan develops productive relations between parents and teachers, thereby increasing student achievement.

While engaged as a full-time parent, Jonathan writes several blogs on subjects such as parenting, teaching, and relationships.
