Jonathan D. Fitzgerald, M. A., is a writer and educator whose work most often considers the various manifestations of religion in culture. He is the author of Not Your Mother's Morals: How the New Sincerity is Changing Pop Culture for the Better (Bondfire Books, 2013). His essays and articles have appeared in The Atlantic, The Daily Beast, The Wall Street Journal, The Washington Post, Books and Culture, Christianity Today, Religion Dispatches, The Huffington Post, Killing the Buddha, The Daily, and many more.

Fitzgerald has been featured as a guest commentator for a variety of media outlets including NPR's On Point with Tom Ashbrook and ABC News' Focus on Faith. He is editor of Patrolmag.com and a columnist for the widely-read religion resource website Patheos. In the past decade he has taught writing and journalism at several colleges and universities in Massachusetts, New York, and New Jersey.
