Jonathan Weiß
Being born in 1984 I consider myself a Digital Native and I’m busy with computers and the Internet since I was a teenager. At the age of 14 I hired at the startup “Genix” (today known as Beloy) as a programmer and later, as a pupil, I did some Web design to improve my pocket money. Since I really liked the work, I decided to become a professional Web developer and completed an apprenticeship as an IT application specialist.
With the years of job experience (if you are interested in details, you’ll find my CV on LinkedIn) my focus shifted more and more from the technical perspective to the user’s view. I got more interested in questions like “What is a user looking for when visting a corporate website?”, “How can we improve the online shopping experience?” and “How does the usage of the net change?”. In order to build a solid foundation for answering these questions and to pursue my new interests, I started avocational studies in business administration at the AKAD university of applied sciences in 2009.
It is my goal to connect my technical (job) experience with my interest in the customer and his actions. I will learn the theories in my studies and my employer, the Virtual Identity AG in Freiburg, will support me with the practical aspects.
