Jonathan Hartzell

I am a Horticulture student at UMass Amherst with particular interest in Greenhouse management. I have always been interested in greenhouse culture and production and was even fortunate enough to work in the greenhouses on campus. I believe strongly in sustainability and hope to influence others to strive to live more self-sustainable.

My education and experience has fueled my passion for the subject and in the future I intend to start a business in the field. My goal is to provide a vast aray of reliable and sustainable greenhouse designs as well as custom jobs within a large price range. Our company will be different than other greenhouse distributors with respect to our involvement with each customer. Our goal is to try to encourage more people to help sustain themselves. Our name and position will be as follows: "YouGrow": Become independently sustainable. For amatures, we will offer classes and seminars to acclimate interested parties to the culture. We offer full installation and every aspect of climate control will be electronically controlled via our new software. You will also soon be able to download our app, where you can monitor your greenhouse climate from your smartphone wherever you may be.
