About Me:
I am freelance Fine Artist and Curator based in Adlington, Lancashire, England.
I have exhibited throughout the North West of England, Germany and America. Recently I have exhibited at Butterfly Fine Art Gallery ,and The Koffee Pot Café in Manchester, as well as The Chapels Galleries in Blackburn.
I have taught Life Drawing and Painting to Foundation, HND and BA Visual Arts students at various Colleges in the North West of England including Todmorden Community College and The University of Bolton. Recently I have held some freelance 1 to 1 tutorials to MA Fine Art international students from The University of Salford.
What inspires me?
Lots of things inspire me, conversations with friends, viewing art exhibitions, random advertisements online, but choosing one or two artists is a tricky question.
As a Fine Art Degree student Tony Bevan, Euan Uglow and Chris Ofili influenced my art, but that was about 10 years ago now.
I would say my fellow friends and artists whom I work around and to whom I speak to on a weekly basis, be that face to face or online, probably influence me the greatest at the moment. So that would be artists such as Karol Kochanowski, Paul Gilmore, Nina Brkic and Mark Toner as well as many others (the list is quite long)
