In an interview with Galaxy TV - a television station based in Nigeria, Jonathan Kawuma said “I have contributed to a diverse range of movies / films, commercials, and digital content, pushing the boundaries of storytelling through innovative techniques”.

“Whether crafting visually stunning narratives or leading post-production workflows, I am dedicated to elevating African cinema on both local and international stages” - he added.

In the year 2019, Jonathan travelled to Canada for the “Toronto International Film Festival” where he spent a month connecting with some of the best film directors.

During the early days the COVID 20 pandemic, Jonathan Kawuma was in South Africa co-directing a movie that would later premier in East Africa.

Last year, Jonathan was invited in UK to attend a movie premier that was directed by Ridley Scott. However, he missed the opportunity because he was then in Rwanda working on a movie financed by Rwandan NGO.
