Jonathan Korngold

Jon Korngold is a Managing Director and Global Head of General Atlantic’s Financial Services sector. Jon serves as Chairman of the firm’s Portfolio Committee and is a member of the firm’s Executive, Investment, Human Resources, and Emerging Growth Investment Committees. He has worked in the firm’s London office and previously led the firm’s Global Healthcare sector. Prior to joining General Atlantic in 2001, Jon worked at Goldman Sachs in the Principal Investment Area and in the Mergers & Acquisitions groups in London and New York, respectively. Jon has spent extensive time in China, where he studied Mandarin Chinese at Peking University and did pro bono work for the U.S. Embassy’s Foreign Commercial Service in Beijing. He has been recognized by the World Economic Forum as a Young Global Leader and has served as an adjunct professor within Columbia Business School’s Finance & Economics department. Last year, Jon was ranked #1 on Institutional Investor’s “Fintech Finance 40,” a list the top dealmakers in the global financial technology industry, and named as the #1 investor (and #2 overall of all market participants) on this year’s Institutional Investor’s list.
