Hello, I am Jon Kramer, an aspiring engineer and Eagle scout. All through middle and high school I always loved construction, woodwork, and carpentry. During my senior year I planned and oversaw the construction of an entire meeting board at a local park and reserve.

Throughout this project I felt really in touch with myself and my life desires. I had never felt the drive like that to complete a task. Over the span of the project, I learned a lot about time management and communication. As the project leader nothing was done unless I planned it and executed it. I learned I really enjoyed the process of engineering and constructing a model. It also gave me an idea of what I wanted to do with my life.

Now I'm Majoring in Engineering and absolutely loving it. My classes are fun and entertaining and for the first time in my life I look forward to class. I really love math and the precision that is involved with creating something. I took BC calc in high school and it showed me math is just another type of language. I often think I’m better at speaking math than English. Though I am not really an English person, I am looking forward to this semester and seeing how this class furthers me as a person.
