I’m Jonathan McNabb, a Houston native, longtime Katy resident, and Broker/Owner of Nest Ahead. As a full-time REALTOR®, I help buyers, sellers, investors, and relocating families make confident real estate decisions throughout Katy, Houston, and the surrounding communities.

My experience spans nearly 30 years across the real estate and legal industries. During my career, I have participated in more than 600 real estate transactions representing over $175 million in sales volume. That experience has taught me that a successful transaction requires more than opening doors or placing a property in the MLS. It requires careful preparation, honest advice, responsive communication, strong negotiation, and a clear strategy built around the client’s goals.

As the founder of Nest Ahead, I lead a Texas real estate brokerage committed to combining local knowledge with broader marketing reach. Our motto, “Local Roots | Global Reach,” reflects the way I approach every client relationship. I provide personal, neighborhood-level guidance while using modern technology, professional marketing, and an extensive network to help clients reach buyers and opportunities well beyond their immediate market.

I work with first-time homebuyers, experienced homeowners, veterans, investors, relocation clients, new-construction buyers, and luxury real estate clients. My areas of specialization include residential sales, buyer representation, listing strategy, new construction, military relocation, down payment assistance programs, investment properties, and 1031 exchanges.

I hold numerous industry certifications and designations, including Military Relocation Professional, Texas Affordable Housing Specialist, Certified Home Marketing Specialist, Certified Real Estate Negotiator, New Home Construction Specialist, New Home Sales Agent Certification, and ePRO®. I am also a VA Certified REALTOR®, VLB Participating REALTOR®, TSAHC Participating REALTOR®, TDHCA Down Payment Assistance Specialist, Cane Island Certified REALTOR®, and Certified Neighborhood Specialist for Cinco Ranch and Cane Island. In addition, I hold a master’s degree in international business from Houston Christian University.

Katy is more than an area I serve. It is where my family and I have built our life. I have lived in Katy for more than 15 years and have called Oak Park Trails home since 2009. That personal connection gives me firsthand insight into the neighborhoods, schools, development, transportation, amenities, and day-to-day considerations that influence real estate decisions in the area.

My approach is straightforward. I believe clients deserve accurate information, realistic expectations, and an advocate who will tell them what they need to know, not simply what they want to hear. Whether I am helping someone purchase their first home, prepare a property for the market, evaluate a new construction opportunity, relocate to Greater Houston, or plan an investment, my goal is to make the process understandable and help protect their interests from beginning to end.

Outside of real estate, family time is extremely important to me. I enjoy grilling, spending weekends with my wife and children, and cheering on the Houston Astros. I also enjoy connecting people and helping local professionals build meaningful relationships through the West Houston Networking Group, which I co-founded.
