Jonathan Peace
I live in Nottingham, United Kingdom. I’ve been a barman, a waiter and cinema projectionist; sold fridges, encyclopaedias and small, plastic goblins. I now write for a living – a pen for hire, if you will. My first two spec screenplays Deadline (a thriller) and Bubble-Butt (A Grindhouse horror) have already attracted some attention: Bubble-Butt led to a development meeting in London early 2011 with a major UK studio (talks are ongoing), while Deadline is currently being read by two of the biggest movie studios in Hollywood (fingers crossed). I’ve now written my third spec script Gunsmoke & Glory which is best described as Young Guns meets From Dusk Till Dawn. September 2011 sees the start of spec script #4 The Vote, a scifi horror.
In late August 2010, I was hired by Vantis Pictures to write the script for their sci-fi horror. Major story details are underwraps for now but the title is The Rift.
In May 2011, I wrote a short story for Mantic Games to be used with their release of a new range of fantasy gaming miniatures. They have requested further stories, background and more. Examples of my fantasy writing can be found on their website, especially in the Undead section (I love me some Undead!) or in the Fiction section of this site.
I live with my wife-to-be Lucy and our two cats Tom and Dippy. I write, watch movies and paint/collect/game with model soldiers – Undead and Forgefathers.
I am available to hire for:
- Movie or gaming articles for online/hardcopy magazines
- Background / colour text
- Short stories
- E-books
- Short screenplays
- Feature screenplays
