Jonathan Ravdin

After obtaining his Doctor of Medicine from Tufts University School of Medicine, Dr. Jonathan Ravdin embarked on an accomplished career in medical research, earning several prestigious positions. Upon completing his degree, Dr. Jonathan Ravdin entered into an internship at New York-Presbyterian/Weill Cornell Medical Center under Dr. Alexander Bearn. Subsequently, Dr. Ravdin began his residency as Junior Assistant Resident Physician at the same institution under the supervision of Dr. Charles Christian. He then advanced to the positions of Senior Assistant Resident Physician and Assistant Chief Medical Resident under Dr. Hibbard Williams. With his education behind him, Dr. Jonathan Ravdin took on a fellowship in the Division of Infectious Diseases under Dr. Gerald Mandell at the University of Virginia (UVA) School of Medicine in Charlottesville. This opportunity led to a series of positions at UVA, starting with an assistant professorship that ultimately morphed into a tenured role as Associate Professor of Medicine and Pharmacology seven years later. Relocating to Ohio, Dr. Jonathan Ravdin took the positions of Professor and Vice Chairman of Medicine and Professor of International Health at Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine in Cleveland. Additionally, Dr. Jonathan Ravdin became Chief of Medicine at the Cleveland Veterans Affairs Medical Center. Turning his attention to the University of Minnesota (UMN), Dr. Jonathan Ravdin assumed the role of Nesbitt Professor and Chairman for the University’s Department of Medicine. Dr. Ravdin also worked as Chief of Medicine for the Ujniversity of Minnesota Medical Center(UMNC) and served as Special Advisor to the Dean for Strategic Development. From 2008 to 2011, Jonathan Ravdin took the title of Dean and Executive Vice President of the Medical College of Wisconsin, Milwaukee (MCW). Dr. Ravdin is currently Professor of Medicine and Professor of Microbiology and Molecular Genetics at MCW.
