Dr. Jonathan L Vorce
Public Speaker, Father, and Writer in Bayonet Point, Florida
Born on December 15, 1967, in Mt. Pleasant, Michigan, Dr. Jonathan L. Vorce is the son of a pioneering pastor and delivered his first sermon at just eight years old. His call to ministry was received at Bible Holiness Assemblies of God Church in Neosho, Missouri, under the guidance of Rev. D.C. Branham.
As a teenager, Bishop Vorce's passion for ministry took him to churches, street corners, rest homes, and prisons where he preached with fervor. He led youth services and revivals, and spoke at youth camps and church events. In 1985, he embarked on a full-time evangelistic and missionary path, dedicating seven and a half years to this endeavor.
Bishop Vorce's ministry has seen him travel extensively, both nationally and internationally, teaching, preaching, and training leaders. He is a prolific author of ten books and hosts two weekly television programs, "Kingdom Business Network TV" and "Church Life Today."
Since 1993, Bishop Vorce has served as Lead Pastor for four different congregations. Since May 2010, he and his family have led Lakewood Family Church in Bayonet Point, Florida, focusing on organization, administration, leadership training, teaching, preaching, counseling, mentoring, and community involvement. His civic leadership extends to serving on various boards, including Christian school boards, chambers of commerce, coalitions for racial reconciliation, and chaplaincy roles.
Dr. Vorce's academic journey began in 1991 while pastoring his first church. He earned two bachelor's degrees in Ministry and Theology, followed by a Master of Theology and a Doctor of Ministry from the School of Bible Theology Seminary and University. He later achieved a Phd from Covenant University, Inc.
On March 1, 2019, Dr. Vorce succeeded Dr. William (Bill) Morris as Chancellor and President of Covenant Bible College & Seminary, which has since evolved into Covenant University, Inc., with campuses across North America and and other various nations globally.
Jonathan married Donna on January 27, 1990, and they have been blessed with three married children, three wonderful inlaw children, and six grandchildren.
