Jonathan Vrban

Dr. Jonathan Vrban, formerly a practitioner with Kaiser Permanente in San Francisco, lives in Hawaii, which serves as a home base for his world travels. Although he has visited Turkey, Greece, Israel, Australia, France, Spain, and many other countries, one of his favorite destinations is Italy. While there, Dr. Jonathan Vrban has combined his love of travel with another passion, cooking, through classes on preparing the country’s famous Mediterranean cuisine. Back home in Hawaii, he makes his own pasta and sauces and bakes bread, cakes, cookies, candy, and pies, which he enjoys sharing with his local fire department. Every day Dr. Vrban is at home in Hawaii, he spends time tending to his gardens around his home and enjoys accomplishing home improvement projects.

A veteran of the health care sector, Dr. Jonathan Vrban began his career as a radiologic technologist in Salt Lake City. Continuing his education as he worked, he earned a bachelor of science in nursing from Samuel Merritt University. Two years later, the same school awarded him his master of science in nursing. He focused his training to the study of Family Practice, with a special interest in orthopedics, emergency and occupational medicine. Dr. Vrban received his doctor of nursing practice from Rocky Mountain University of Health Professions in Provo, Utah.

A teacher as well as a practitioner, Dr. Jonathan Vrban was an associate clinical professor at the Schools of Nursing for Samuel Merritt University and the University of California, San Francisco. At both institutions, he served in the roles of preceptor and lecturer. Professionally active in his field, Dr. Vrban has been an active member of the American Association of Nurse Practitioners and the California Nurses Association.
