Jonathan W. Lounsberry

Jonathan W. Lounsberry is a Fellow of the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers and the International Academy of Family Lawyers. He practices in Spartanburg, South Carolina, where he has a state-wide practice. His focus is helping clients efficiently reach their goals with dignity. He is admitted in State and Federal Court in South Carolina, as well as the US Court of Appeals for the 4th Circuit.

He has serious experience in resolving family court matters (e.g.,, divorce, support, custody, visitation, etc.) both in and out of court. A large part of his practice also consists of handling international family law issues and 1980 Hague Child Abduction Convention matters. In all cases, his goal is to help clients gain clarity in complexity.

Jonathan W. Lounsberry has been recognized as a Rising Star in Super Lawyers and is AV rated by Martindale Hubbell. He is also a graduate of the South Carolina Bar Leadership Academy and Leadership Spartanburg. He regularly teaches continuing legal education seminars and writes on the practice of family law and litigation.

In addition to being an attorney, Jonathan W. Lounsberry's interests range from travel to distance running. His travels throughout the world have exposed him to various cultures and people. And, he believes these experiences give him a unique perspective in helping his client's reach their goals.

He also has a goal of completing all the Abbott World Marathon Majors: the New York City, Tokyo, Berlin, Chicago, Boston, and London marathons. He spends most of his time training for his upcoming marathon (NYC) catching up on reading by listening to audio-books and being cheered on by his wife and children.
