Jonathon Lundy
Teacher, Writer, and Student in Nampa, Idaho
My name is Jonathon Lundy, and I am a Communication and Media Studies scholar and researcher seeking new career opportunities.
I recently graduated with a Ph.D. in the Communication, Culture, and Media from the Drexel University. I also hold two B.A.s in Mass Communication/Journalism and Political Science as well as a M.A. in Communication, from Boise State University. My scholarly interests have primarily focused on the reciprocal relationship between media, identity, and culture but I enjoy researching and teaching many subjects within the communication discipline.
I have been teaching for over 10 years, designing lower and upper division courses in public speaking, journalism, media studies, business communication, comm theory and technology at the community college, state school, and private university levels.
In addition to my teaching experience, I spent 3 years providing academic advising, both as a departmental advisor and a university-wide advisor for transfer, non-traditional, and undecided students. I also have experience mentoring undergraduate teaching assistants, supervising work-study students, leading teams, and directing adult volunteer staffs at summer camps.
