Jonathan Austin

Jonathan Austin was born and raised in Virginia Beach, VA and all his life has had an interest in making movies. Whether it was using his dads camera to film his toys, or making short films on the weekends with his friends in high school. When he was a senior his media teacher noticed a talent in him, and during his lunch period he would pratice editing. By the end of his senior year he was writing, directing, shooting, and editing commercials for the schools morning announcments. After he graduated high school, he was hired as an intern with the Virginia Beach Fire Departments Video Services. There he worked as an assistant editor, camera operator, and photographer. With this opportunity he was able to work on videos that went both local and national. In 2012 he left the fire department to join Full Sail University in Winter Park, FL. There he was able to perfect the craft of filmmaking. When he wasnt working on projects for school, he was working on videos for his local church. In November 2013 he graduated from Full Sail University with a Bachelors Of Science Degree in FIlm. He now works as a Multimedia Specialist for VBFD Fire Rescue.
