Jonathan Beddoes
Entrepreneur, Founder, and Investor in London, United Kingdom
I am 33 years old and live in Camden, London. I like to play hard and work harder!
My strongest passion is the creation of disruptive Internet products began aged 13. Whilst at school aged 17, I founded a web-hosting company which I sold within a year. In 2006, I completed a Computer Science B.Sc at Manchester University in the UK with honours (aged 20). Whilst at university, I co-developed a popular music file-sharing application that was downloaded by over 30,000,000 people.
In 2007, I was the youngest person ever to complete a Masterclass in Innovation and Entrepreneurship at the Vlerick Leuven Gent Management School in Belgium.
Later in 2007, I co-founded RadFactory; an internet incubator built numerous popular software products and browser extensions. In 2008, I co-developed the world's first real-time BitTorrent comparison search engine, attracting mainstream media attention from Forbes, Business Week and the BBC, as well as popular internet news sites such as Digg, TechCrunch, Slashdot, RWW and many more.
Later in 2008, I joined Zugo, a leading search solutions platform and aggregator that has become a cornerstone of distribution for major search engines.
In 2012, I left Zugo and co-founded Techtopia, a thriving technology incubator based in Marylebone, London.
In 2014, I co-founded Safer Technologies with the mission of helping internet users better control and secure their online privacy, identity and personal data. The company was acquired by Avast Software in March 2017, enabling the team to continue its vision at scale.
