Jon Belsher is an innovative forward thinker who is passionate about identifying and creating new opportunities for business development and growth, market expansion, and value-added solutions in healthcare.
For Jon, increasing healthcare access and decreasing costs for consumers is a continual motivator to keep pushing the envelope for change in the medical field. That's why he founded MedSpring Urgent Care, where Jon served as the Chief Medical Officer for more than six years before progressing to his current role.
As a firm believer in the “lead by example” methodology, Jon Belsher derived great satisfaction from working with dynamic, engaging, and intelligent colleagues who took pride in teamwork, healthy competition, and professional development.
Although he is no longer with the company, Jon Belsher still loves to continue learning about the rapid changes of our world today, and is particularly interested in mobile health technology, telehealth, and artificial intelligence. Jon also enjoys reading updates from Elon Musk, and strives to learn about unconventional means for continuous improvements to society via technology.
After receiving his Doctor of Medicine Degree from the University of Texas Southwestern, Jon Belsher completed his residency at the Mayo Clinic College of Medicine in Scottsdale, AZ, and fellowship at Mayo Clinic College of Medicine in Rochester, MN. During this time Jon was awarded “Teacher of the Year” twice and the prestigious “Chief Fellow.”
Presently, Dr. Belsher is the President and Chief Operating Officer for UCI Medical Affiliates in Columbia, South Carolina.
