At the age of 18 Jon moved from his hometown Ladner, just outside of Vancouver, to Los Angeles to study at Musicians’ Institute Bass program. While living in LA Jon's musical education was not limited to the confines of MI, as he immersed himself in the LA music scene. Playing with local artists in some of the most iconic venues in the world; The Mint, The Roxy, The Whiskey A Go Go and at Oasis Church, giving him the opportunity to play among 50 premier musicians and producers every week. This practical experience was second to none. While at Musicians’ Institute Jon studied from amazing mentors, Alexis Skarevski and Maurice Verloop, as well as guest instructors, Stuart Hamm, Billy Sheehan, and Jimmy Haslip. After graduating Jon moved back to Vancouver, where he plays bass guitar for various artists and currently studying with renowned bassist and producer Miles Foxx Hill (Van Morrison, Michael Bublé, and Colin James).
CURRENT ARTISTS:
-Laurell Barker (2010 Canadian pop album of the year, nominated from multiple Canadian Radio Music Awards). Laurell is also Co-Founder of Railtown Records with Producer Jeff Dawson (Daniel Powter, State of Shock, Andrew Allen, and The Dudes). Current Single "Unbreakable" is now Top 20 in Canada.
-Paul Filek (Song "Falling For You" reached #85 nation wide in 2011 and #12 in Vancouver on 103.5 CHQM, People Choice Award 2008, Canadian Idol Finalist 2007). Live credentials include opening for Kevin Costner and the Modern West in July 2012 at Sun Peaks Resort with over 7000 in attendance, INXS, Carly Rae Jepsen, and Styx.
-Michael Wood Band (Hit single "End of the World" has over 70 000 views and growing, opening act for Buck Cherry at the 2013 Stampede Flood Relief Concert, finalist for AMP Records/ 99.3 The Fox Radio 2012 Band Fight competition, Calgary Stampede 2012 Olympic Plaza, opening act for Prism and Platinum Blonde.
CHURCH RELATED CREDITS:

-History Maker Youth Conference 2010, as a guest artist, at the Langley Sports Arena 4000+ in attendance
