Jon Chattman

For over 15 years, Jon Chattman has written on all walks of pop culture specializing in film, television and music. A former managing newspaper editor and a local beat reporter, his writing has appeared on the Huffington Post since 2008, The New York Post, Spinner.com, Wizard, Ultimate Marvel Magazine, and TV Guide to name a few. For over seven years, Chattman has owned and operated thecheappop.com, a pop culture humor site that specializes in down-to-earth celebrity interviews and music and entertainment reviews. Last year, he launched his own music series at asidesmusic.com, a site featuring sessions with established and up-and-coming musicians. All sessions have "aired" on the Huffington Post.

In March 2012, his book "I Love the Red Sox/I Hate the Yankees," which is about exactly what you'd think it's about, was published by Triumph Books. In October 2012, "A Battle Royal in the Sky," a poignant humor book on 50 wrestling greats who died too young and gimmicks that have come and gone, will be published by Pitch Publishing. His autobiography of Jimmy "Superfly" Snuka (Triumph Books) will hit book shelves in December 2012, while his current project "How the Red Sox Explain New England" will be released by Triumph Books in spring 2013.

These titles are all follow-ups to 2009's "Sweet 'Stache," a humor book on notable celebrity mustaches. Chattman also promotes music and comedy events in and around New York City and Westchester County, and in 2011, was selected as one of the "Rising Stars – Westchester's Forty Under Forty" by The Business Council of Westchester. He currently serves as director of communications for the Music Conservatory of Westchester in White Plains, NY.
