Jon Crispin

Dr. Crispin has been involved in the field of business management, marketing and proprietary education for over 20 years as a president, campus director, academic, a practitioner, consultant and researcher.
During his career, he has worked in executive leadership positions at Pepperdine University, The Institute for Professional Development (an Apollo Group Company), American InterContinental University and recently for Education Corporation of America as the Senior Vice President for Academic Affairs.
Throughout his career, Dr. Crispin has been an advocate of student-centered learning. He has also developed and implemented an array of distance education via technology delivery platforms. While partnering with Averett University and the United States Marine Corps, Dr. Crispin was instrumental in launching and matriculating the first interactive video conference network between Quantico, Camp Lejuene and the Danville, VA Averett University Campus (The MCSEN – Marine Corps Satellite Education Network) designed to matriculate and graduate MBAs.
As Provost and Chief Academic Officer for American InterContinental University, Dr. Crispin oversaw the growth and academic quality of the 12,000 student on ground campus system and the 25, 000 student online campus. In his role as Senior Vice President for Academic Affairs for Education Corporation of America, Dr. Crispin continued to be responsible for the academic student experience of its online students. Retaining, graduating and placing its students remained one of his top priorities. Finally, rounding out his executive academic career as Columbia Southern University's Provost and Chief Academic Officer, he oversaw a vibrant Academic Affairs and student body with an international program based in Vietnam. After retiring from the CSU Provost position, Dr. Crispin continues to serve as a full time MBA faculty member.
